I think Noel’s game show contestants would be stumped if schoolgirl Victoria Cowie was to be one of Noel’s charming children. Alas- she is not. The 10 year old Victoria was in fact revealed to have an IQ of 162 this week. While she insists she is just like any other girl her age, in one respect she is very different, she is one smart 10 year old.
The youngster has just been admitted to join clever peoples club, Mensa, after scoring 162 in an IQ test – better than the 160 thought to have been achieved by Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates. The result puts her in the top 1 per cent of the British population in terms of intelligence.
Victoria’s parents spoke out to The Sun this week exclaiming: “We couldn't believe it. She did the test a few weeks ago and the results put her in the top one per cent. She's still a child and we have always said she only does what she wants to do. We are so proud of her."
The girl with the higher IQ than the German Physicist had her pick of top schools after flying through exams but has decided on taking up a scholarship at the Royal Wolverhampton School, not far from home. Whiz-kid Victoria, has set her sights on becoming a vet and I wish her all the best!
